Hijingo wanted to increase bookings and establish itself as the future of bingo. The challenge was to create ads that would stand out in a crowded nightlife and entertainment space while avoiding the clichés of traditional bingo marketing. The campaign needed to feel fresh, modern, and bold enough to match Hijingo’s immersive in-venue experience.

The strategy

The strategy focused on positioning Hijingo as an event-led destination. Instead of leaning into typical bingo tropes, the ads took cues from club culture, nightlife, and Japanese-inspired visuals. Bold typography, neon colours, and glitch effects created a high-energy look that communicated Hijingo as more than a game, it is a full entertainment experience. Seasonal offers, themed nights, and brunch events were also highlighted to give audiences clear reasons to book at specific times.

My role

I worked as a digital designer on paid advertising. I contributed to campaign strategy and creative ideas, then designed the ad creatives.

The approach

I designed paid ad creatives that leaned heavily on bold graphic design and disruptive layouts. Ads for seasonal offers used bright, limited-time callouts to drive urgency. Event ads highlighted themed experiences such as Palentine’s night and Sunday brunch, combining dynamic photography with futuristic visuals. Across all creatives, the consistent use of high-contrast typography and bold Hijingo branding tied the system together while keeping each ad visually striking in its own right.

The result

The campaign helped Hijingo stand out as a disruptive entertainment brand. By breaking away from traditional bingo marketing and embracing a nightlife-inspired style, the ads resonated with younger audiences and drove bookings for themed nights, brunches, and seasonal offers. The creative approach reinforced Hijingo’s positioning as the future of bingo.
